Renovations, extensions & older properties
Hertford has many older and period homes alongside newer housing, and a lot of them are being renovated or extended. That's work we enjoy: planning socket and lighting layouts with you, working alongside builders and kitchen fitters, and making sure the new installation is properly tested and certified.
In older homes we take extra care. Original wiring is checked before we extend it, and we won't add to deteriorated rubber (VIR) wiring. Not sure what's behind your walls? An EICR tells you exactly what you're dealing with.

Hertford questions
Do you cover Hertford?
Yes. Hertford is one of our regular service areas, covered from our base in Welwyn.
Does an old house need a full rewire?
Not automatically. Age alone doesn't mean a rewire is needed. An EICR shows the actual condition of the wiring, so you only pay for what's genuinely required.
Can you work alongside my builder?
Yes. We regularly coordinate with builders, kitchen fitters and other trades on renovations, so first fix, second fix and testing fit around the rest of the project.
